Teaching Techniques
I Like To Teach
There is a right way and a wrong way to do almost everything and this applies to fitness and self defence techniques. Lift weights correctly with the right repetitions and you will build muscle fast and efficiently, and your body will benefit. Lift weights the wrong way and, at best, you will build muscle more slowly and inefficiently. At worst you will damage your body. The same applies to stretching exercises.
I expect to be constantly at the side of my clients, supervising, demonstrating, encouraging, occasionally warning and above all teaching the correct methods. The right and the wrong way also applies to self defence techniques.
I must emphasise that I always tell my clients to try to avoid violence at all costs - even by running away if possible. If the worst should come to the worst, however, and you have no choice but to defend yourself you have to know how to block and counter. If you punch the wrong way you risk either hurting yourself or simply enraging your attacker. If you punch or kick the right way - as I can teach you - you have the chance to shock and temporarily disable him (or her) while you make your escape.
Open 7 days a week, 7am to 9pm. A full time private fitness studio covering Leighton Buzzard, Hemel Hempstead and surrounding area.
In the early days I started training in karate. I then tried Mr Vigor's taekwondo and kickboxing classes I was hooked. I soon gave up my karate and just trained with Mr Vigor. I have been with him now for 24 years and still training on a weekly basis and still loving the classes, what more can I say.
